Janet Bright's work is informed by art, architecture & film training. Much of Janet’s work reflects the impact of the fauve & modernist art movements, displaying expression of both wild possibility of colour & brushstroke and refined craftsmanship of simplified design . Artistic direction in broad-stroke landscape painting and social commentary multi-media pieces is guided by an unrelenting search for connection, direction and community in all endeavour. Janet attended the Banff Centre, Artist in Residency program in Banff Alberta in 2012. Her work can be found in the private Cross Collection and Prospera Corporate Collection of British Columbia, Canada.
